As a seasoned customer service representative, Jess keeps our clients and internal team members informed with the latest updates and streamlined communication. When she’s not drafting up an email, meeting with the team, or heads down in Jira, you can find Jess snuggled up with her cats or in the kitchen baking up delicious treats! 🐈
Q: Where did you work before this, what experience do you have from there?
A: Before Linchpin I’ve worked for a wide range of organizations from family run small businesses to nationwide corporations. What I’ve learned is that I value being plugged into my community and knowing the direct positive impact of the work I contribute to.
Q: What is your career focus?
A: I have over 9 years of customer service and administrative support experience. My career focus is driven by the relational side of businesses and ensuring that clients and colleagues have a positive and safe experience.
Q: What do you believe your best strength is within the company?
A: I believe my biggest strength is empathy, by which I mean an openness to view things from perspectives outside of my own.
Q: How would you describe yourself with three words?
A: Light-hearted, determined, and intuitive.
Q: How would your friends describe you?
A: Silly, caring, “the mom friend”.
Q: What is currently your computer background?
A: The Steven Universe beach scene
Q: If money didn’t matter, what would you do all day?
A: Mostly nap with my cats but hopefully also devote more time to crafting and my creative pursuits. I enjoy felting, embroidery, creative writing, playing piano, and trying out new recipes!
Q: What is your biggest pet peeve?
A: Mistreatment of wait staff and disrespect towards service workers in general. I truly believe there is no such thing as “unskilled labor” and people deserve respect regardless of where they’re at in their career.
Love yourself, take care of each other, and follow your dreams.
Q: What makes you bored?
A: Doom scrolling and unchecked social media consumption. It only seems to stifle my energy and creative thought process.
Q: Tell me about something you would happily do again.
A: I am itching to travel again! If there’s one place I could re-visit it would be Petra.
Q: What are two things you have with you at all times?
A: First would be my wedding ring. Second, for better or for worse I can never make it out of the house without some cat hair tagging along. I guess I bring a bit of my family with me everywhere I go!
Q: How would you define success?
A: “Love yourself, take care of each other, and follow your dreams.” – quote from my comedian friend Dana Jay Bein
It is ok to not know everything, and ok to make mistakes.
Q: What advice would you give to your 18 year old self?
A: It is ok to not know everything, and ok to make mistakes.
Q: What is the first thing on your bucket list?
A: Swimming with whale sharks!
Q: Favorite activities on your day off?
A: Baking, yoga, and thrift shopping.
Q: What is one thing you can’t live without?
A: Water?
Q: What does true leadership mean to you?
A: Leadership means having a vision for what the future could be and the ability to work collaboratively to build that future with others.
