MIT’s Knight Science Journalism program created an online publication that highlights the intersection of science and society, rooted in the concept of the undark. After working together for several years, Undark rebranded their digital presence, coming to Linchpin to bring their new brand vision to life.
Built on a custom WordPress theme, Undark features various article formats including video essays, podcasts and photo galleries, with CSS/JS animations throughout that enhance the experience and visual appeal. The online publication incorporates and encourages commenting to engage readers in discussion, promoting healthy conversation among the science community, and beyond!
